Application of our products is simple - Spray, dip or roll coating depending upon the application.

Easy Clean Properties

The Coating works by both actively repelling dirt and facilitating the rinsing off of dirt with water (rain).

As well as tests in the laboratory, we have been testing our easy-clean coatings in the natural environment.

Treated areas are cleaner than untreated areas even after 3 months of outdoor exposure.

After 1 week and even 16 months the coating still works.

Wetting Effect and Spot Free Finish

Water spreads over the surface creating a thin sheet of water which washes away dirt, dries quickly and leaves a spot free finish.  We can demonstrate this effect on many surfaces, including windows, road signs and cars.

Wetting effect on a road sign - keeps signs cleaner for longer and reduced need to clean them.

Wetting effect on cladding panels - beads of water form on the untreated panel whereas the treated panel is bead free resulting in spot-free and faster drying,

Spot-free finish effect is visible on our test panels, left image demonstrates the wetting effect and the right photo shows the spot free finish when dry.

Anti-Fog Behaviour

In a humid environment, rather than than small droplets of water forming on the surface, a thin transparent sheet of liquid wets the surface which provides anti-fog behaviour.

We have tested the anti-fog behaviour on a number of substrates including glasses lenses, mirrors and car windscreens.

A Bathroom mirror - the left hand side (treated) is clear enough to apply make up or shave after taking a hot shower!
